OCP AFRICA is currently laying the groundwork for expansion in Ghana by focusing on value chain development and fertilizer Agronomic testing. The subsidary regularly partners with African and local organizations to launch new programs with the goal of raising awareness of fertilizer products and their benefits for farming families. OCP AFRICA is committed to Ghana and is building out a long term programming and distribution plan.

Local Initiatives
OCP AFRICA provides a range of services to support local farmers.
OCP School Lab
OCP AFRICA brought its innovative School Lab program to Ghana in September 2017. At the heart of OCP Africa’s development strategy, the mobile school and lab is traveling through the remote areas of the country to raise awareness of the importance of soil testing and offer a full set of agri-services for smallholders farmers. The program offers live demonstrations and soil testing, coupled with big data technology,to provide farmers with critical information about their soil and the fertilizers they need in order to be most productive.
Agribooster
OCP AFRICA is piloting an Agribooster program in Ghana, which trains farmers to leverage fertilizers to increase maize yields. It will also supply high quality fertilizer, training and extension services for farmers, and various stakeholders within the value chain, to educate them about products and their impacts on crops and soils.
Business services training
OCP AFRICA is currently formalizing several marketing-type projects that will help farmers to improve input access.
Agronomy Initiative
Soil mapping, soil testing and fertilizer trials. Testing and development of new fertilizer blends specific to local soil needs.
