OCP Africa heavily invests in production and logistics – and in many countries, this includes fertilizer blending and storage facilities. These projects are important because they allow us to reduce costs to offer more affordable fertilizers for the farmers and be more agile and responsive to local needs. For example, as part of the Presidential Fertilizer Initiative Programme in Nigeria, we are working to upgrade the country’s blending facilities through a national “revamping blenders” program, and we have signed a joint venture agreement to develop an NPK fertilizer plant and distribution network. We are also exploring fertilizer supply partnerships in Guinea and Angola.
